The Edge. It is something you must have if you are going to be successful in business. Sometimes the edge is clear with a vastly superior product, and other times the edge is forged by outworking the competition.

You have clearly worked very hard to make the name of you business mean something, because your business has been a perennial winner in The Observer's Best of Waterbury competition.

Ditto for this year. I would like to personally congratulate you for again coming out on top in our annual reader's poll. We distributed 40,000 ballots to our readers in March & April and asked them to vote for their favorite businesses in greater Waterbury. When the dust settled your business again stood atop the mountain.

As a big sports fan, I grew up in the 1960s and 1970s studying the teams that always seemed to win the championships. What was is about the Green Bay Packers under Vince Lombardi, the Boston Celtics under Red Auerbach, and the New York Yankees. Why did they always win? I believe it was an unwavering commitment to excellence, and a dogged determination to settle for nothing less.

When contemplating success, Hank Aaron, the all-time major league home run champion said, "Consistency is what counts; you have to be able to do thing over and over again."

And you have.
